Weekly Status Report - Friday, May -9th, 2003
Route:
Departure date defined - Thursday, May 21st.
Will arrive at Chicago on the 25th to attend an event organized by the local ICRF.
Final route in North America to be finalized this weekend and will be published on the site.
Media:
Articles were published in the newspapers (Ma'ariv, Yediot and the Edmonton SUN). See - Media.
Responses were tremendous. The articles helped increasing traffic to the site and donations have started to increase.
"Full Gaz" - an Israeli on-line bikers magazine published the story. They offered to update my journey on their site along the way. Thank you guys (especially Avi).
CBC expressed interest in covering the start of the journey.
Motorcycle:
In the garage for the last week as a result of heavy snowfall in Edmonton.
Autocom system (communication) arrived at the dealer in Calgary.
Various:
Laptop - a friend (Jim) offered to give me one as a loaner for the trip. Will be discussed and checked this week. Yet to find a solution for cell phone.
The "Israeli distribution network" (my parents and sister and their "world wide e-mails") has shifted gears and the results are coming. Updates - soon.
