The Garmins' Street Pilot III is mounted on the handle bar. It comes with a MapSource CD of North America. I purchased the Deluxe version that has all maps unlocked, together with a 128 MB data card. The database can direct you to the nearest hotels, gas stations, provide you with telephone numbers and give you other relevant information. I will purchase the European edition before the big journey.
I also use it as a trip computer to gather information during my trips. That's how I discovered that my speedometer is 8% faster than the actual speed and calculated distances. It helps me in my trip to the US to see my speeds in miles. The speedometer on the bike is metric as it was purchased in Canada.
