Dalia(7.7.1943 - 11.5.1987) The first book I read in English was "Love Story". It was Dalia's book and it started with the words "What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach, the Beatles, and me?". The only difference between this sentence and Dalia was that she was forty four. Many of my memories as a child, youth and young adult involved my aunt Dalia. With her I experienced my first musical concert and most certainly, part of my musical tastes today are attributed to her influence. She had a pure soul and unconditional love for her friends and family, especially her children. Loosing her to cancer was a tragedy we will remember for a long time. Dalia is survived by Shmulik, Yoav, Dorit, Chagit and her brother (my father) Amnon and his family. |
